Age
60 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Men and women; aged 60 to 80 years; with a score greater than 4 on the Sarcopenia Screening Tool (SARC-F) questionnaire

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory dysfunctions; volunteers who experience disabling pain while performing the exercises and dynamometry tests

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find gains in maximal muscle strength verified by the one-repetition maximum test and endurance strength assessed by isometric dynamometry, in the arm flexor and knee extensor muscles. The hypothesis is that the group receiving active laser combined with kinesiotherapy will achieve greater strength gains compared to the placebo laser group, with a variation of at least 5% between pre- and post-intervention measurements.

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find gains in motor function related to the lower limbs in common daily activities, verified by the stair climb test (SCT) and the sit-to-stand test. The hypothesis is that the group receiving active laser combined with exercise will achieve superior functional gains, with a variation of at least 5% between pre- and post-intervention measurements, compared to the placebo group.
