60 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Diagnosis of idiopathic Parkinson's Disease as determined by the London Brain Bank Criteria; mild-moderate disease stage (Hoehn &Yahr I-III); age above 60 years; ability to walk independently; no changes in medication regimen in the past six months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of diabetic polyneuropathy; cognitive decline (Montreal Cognitive Assessment score = 26 points); had undergone Deep Brain Stimulation surgery

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find an improvement in gait parameters with the combination of automated mechanical peripheral stimulation and treadmill exercise, when compared to the application of automated peripheral stimulation and the treadmill in isolation. Gait parameters will be collected and analyzed before and after the intervention
