Age
60 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Elderly; above 60 years old; Diabetes Mellitus type II; independent for activities of daily living.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Elderly with neurological consequences; vascular diseases; great alterations of balance.

MeasureTime frame
Increased walking speed through the walk test of 10 meters. It is timed walking time 10 meters, discarding the first and last meter , and then calculates the speed in meters per second . There was a decrease of 0.15 m / s at the speed of those who made the intervention.;For plantar sensitivity was assessed six areas of the sole of the foot with the monofilament Semmens -Weinstein . Sensitivity improved in the intervention group increasing sensitivity to the filaments .;For ankle muscle strength , was evaluated through a dynamometer strength of plantiflexores and dorsiflexors . The equipment measures the force in Newton and there was no significant difference in the intervention group after treatment.;For static equilibrium used to balance the platform, calculates the displacement body area for 30 seconds.
