Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Being regularly enrolled in the first year of the Bachelor of Nursing course at the School of Nursing at the University of São Paulo (EEUSP); be available to participate in the three stages of the study, the first being distance learning and the others in person; be at least 18 years old; both sexes
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Having physical limitations that would prevent participation in the simulated practical activity; having participated in a Basic Life Support (BLS) course within the past two years
