Age
18 Years to 59 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: adults; not elderly; diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus; able to walk independently without the use of a walking aid; no history of diabetic neuropathy; vestibulopathy; retinopathy; nephropathy; neurological or orthopedic disease that affects gait quality, such as poliomyelitis; Brain stroke; parkinson, cerebellar ataxia; lower limb fracture; knee or hip replacements; congenital clubfoot; Charcot arthropathy; lameness of any etiology

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: presence of plantar ulcers; diagnosis of epilepsy; materials surgically implanted in the head or neck; use of psychotropic medication; known allergies to tDCS preparation materials; history of psychiatric illness or previous neurosurgical procedures

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate gait parameters in adults with diabetes after application of tDCS in the primary motor cortex region. It is expected to improve gait parameters such as speed (m/s), cadence (steps/min), stride length (meters), step length (meters), step duration (seconds), support phase (% of cycle), swing phase (% of the cycle), individual support, variable variability (coefficient of variation – CoV%) measured by Baiobit pre and post tDCS intervention

Assess cognitive performance. It is expected to improve cognitive performance (MoCA test) pre and post tDCS intervention;Assess static and dynamic balance. It is expected to improve static and dynamic balance (Berg Balance Scale) pre and post tDCS intervention;Evaluate the cognitive motor dual task. It is expected to reduce the cost of pre- and post-intervention tDCS dual-tasking
