Interventions

This is a split-mouth clinical comparison trial between the use or not of sutures in upper third molar surgeries. Thirty patients will undergo the removal of two upper third molars simultaneously, and

Age
18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients over 18 years of age; both genders; no impairment of general health according to medical history and physical examination; patients with indication for extraction of bilateral maxillary third molars, erupted or partially erupted, asymptomatic

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients classified as ASA III or ASA IV, according to the American Association of Anesthesiology; use of anti-inflammatories within 15 days prior to surgery; smoking patients; pregnant and breastfeeding women; patients with a history of pericoronitis; patients with cognitive disorders that make it impossible to understand and execute commands; withdrawal of consent

MeasureTime frame
Perform a comparative evaluation of surgery for erupted maxillary third molars with suture versus without suture for the outcomes of pain, edema, bleeding and postoperative infection.
