Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients referred for biopsy of the minor salivary glands at the Faculty of Dentistry of the Federal University of Amazonas; of both sexes; age between 18 and 80 years; with healthy oral mucosa and no soft tissue injuries

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with a clinical history of Diabetes and/or scarring disorders; pregnant women; breastfeeding women; elderly people over 80 years of age; patients who continually use mouthwash and/or who use tobacco and alcohol

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The ointment with active ingredient from Libidibia ferrea L. will reduce healing time when compared to the use of placebo

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Reduce the possibility of post-surgical symptomatology and reduce the existence of infection in the post-surgical wound
