Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Firefighters of both sexes; without sick leave during the collection period; residents in the city of Uberaba.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Firefighters who were undergoing psychological therapeutic treatment, as this fact could interfere with the intervention that the participant would receive.

| It is expected to find increased values ??of coping factors after the application of the intervention in a period of six weeks, the higher the scores, the better the individual's strategies in managing occupational stress. Coping factors are represented by eight types: confrontation, withdrawal, self-control, social support, acceptance of responsibility, avoidance, problem solving and positive reappraisal, and the main factor is social support. Coping factors were measured based on responses from the Folkman and Lazarus Coping Inventory (SAVÓIA; SANTANA; MEJIAS, 1996). The score values ??were evaluated by the mean difference in scores for each coping factor, obtained after subtracting the scores for each factor, pre- and post-intervention or standard routine, in both experimental and control groups. To analyze the mean difference between the scores of these coping factors pre and post intervention or standard routine between the groups, Student's t test with Welch correction for independent samples was used. For the positive reappraisal coping factor, the Mann-Whitney test for independent samples was used. Coping factor scores were obtained using descriptive statistics with measures of central tendency (mean and median) and variability (amplitudes, standard deviation, minimum and maximum values). This research considered a significance level of a= 5%. It was observed that after the intervention, the mean differences in the scores of coping factors such as social support (p = 0.009), acceptance of responsibility (p = 0.03), problem solving (p = 0.05) and positive reappraisal (p = 0.05), increased significantly after intervention in the experimental group. Being the impact of the intervention with moderate magnitude for the scores of the social support factor (d = 0.54). | It is expected to find a reduction in occupational stress scores after the application of the intervention in a period of six weeks. To analyze the mean difference between pre- and post-intervention stress scores or standard routine between the groups, the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test for independent samples was used. Stress scores were obtained using descriptive statistics with measures of central tendency (mean, median, mean rank) and variability (amplitudes, standard deviation, minimum and maximum values).
