Interventions

Two groups will be randomized, and administered in a double-blind manner, with 15 subjects in the placebo group and 15 in the Capsiate group. Participants should intake 12 mg/day of Capsiate or Placeb

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Men aged between 18 and 35 years; healthy; untrained for resistance training and without chronic diseases; do not make use of food supplements and steroids

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants who miss more than three training sessions

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Capsiate supplementation increased 2.1% of fat-free mass analyzed by bioeletrical impedance and increased 13.4% of upper strength in the bench press in the one maximum repetition.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Capsiate supplementation did not decrease fat mass, appetite and inflammatory response.
