| Considering that Passiflora tenuifila is rich in phenolic compounds, mainly proanthocyanidins and C-glycosylated flavones, and their absorption depends mainly on the action of the intestinal microbiota, the hypothesis of this project is that these phenolic compounds formed from the metabolization of P polyphenols .tenuifila by the microbiota may have local and systemic action on gene expression and production of inflammatory markers associated with cardiometabolic diseases. | — |
