Age
18 Years to 39 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Couples over the age of 18 years old; duration of infertility over 1 year; women aged 39 years old or younger, undergoing intracitoplasmatic spermatic cell injection; idiopathic oligozoospermia (<15 million / mL), according to guidelines World Health Organization, semen analysis in whole patients was performed 2 or moretimes (sanità, 2010); with no obvious abnormalities observed in medical history, physical examination and endocrine profile; no evidence of genital infections on clinical examination and / or leukospermia on sperm test.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: obstructive azoospermia; known cytogenetic abnormalities' Y chromosome microdeletions; testosterone level less than 300 ng / dl; women with Bologna criteria for “poor respond”

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome: The primary outcome will be the live birth rate. This outcome will be compared between groups using Fisher's exact test. The significance level will be 5%. ;Findings: The live birth rate was numerically higher in the TESE group (36.4% vs. 22.7%), although this difference did not reach statistical significance.
