Age
40 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults with idiopathic Parkinson's Disease diagnosed using the Movement Disorders Society criteria; aged between 40 and 80 years; individuals with PD classified in stages 1 to 5 using the original Hoehn and Yahr (HY) scale; currently taking regular antiparkinsonian medication, with no change in the last month

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Other associated neurological diseases; Cognitive impairment that impairs understanding of verbal commands, verified by the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA); Visual disorders that prevent evaluation and treatment; Limitation in moving the upper limbs that prevents evaluation and treatment; Use of DBS (deep brain stimulation) or other metal implants in the neck, head, or along the spine; Acute eczema in the areas where the electrodes are applied; History of epilepsy

Improvement in upper limb motor performance of individuals with Parkinson's disease is expected after ten days of treatment with cerebellar-spinal direct current stimulation (csDCS) associated with upper limb kinesiotherapy, verified through standardized tests and evaluations of functional motor performance: Box and Block Test (BBT), Nine Hole Peg Test (9HPT), Movement Disorder Society-Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS), Dynamometry, Test d’Évaluation des Membres Supérieurs de Personnes Âgées (TEMPA), based on the finding of a significant increase in the scores of the motor performance scales pre- and post-intervention

To evaluate and compare individuals with Parkinson's disease before and after a treatment program with cerebellar-spinal direct current stimulation (csDCS) associated with kinesiotherapy for the upper limbs in relation to digital dexterity, manual dexterity, handgrip strength, speed and quality of movement patterns and performance of activities of daily living, using standardized tests: Box and Block Test (BBT), Nine Hole Peg Test (9HPT), Movement Disorder Society-Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS), Dynamometry, Test d’Évaluation des Membres Supérieurs de Personnes Âgées (TEMPA), based on intra-group comparison (control and experimental) of percentage improvement or increase in pre- and post-intervention scores.;To compare individuals with Parkinson's disease between the control and experimental groups for the outcomes of digital dexterity, manual dexterity, handgrip strength, speed and quality of upper limb movement patterns, and performance of activities of daily living after a treatment program with cerebellar-spinal direct current stimulation associated with kinesiotherapy for the upper limbs, using standardized tests including the Box and Block Test (BBT), Nine Hole Peg Test (9HPT), Movement Disorder Society-Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (MDS-UPDRS), Dynamometry, Test d’Évaluation des Membres Supérieurs de Personnes Âgées (TEMPA), based on the finding of significant differences between the groups in post-intervention scores.
