Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Volunteers of both genders, aged 60 or over, ability to stand and walk independently.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Volunteers who have any type of amputation; have been performing physical activity in the last 6 months without interruption; have diagnostic or self-reported rheumatoid arthritis; have undergone surgery in the last 6 months or have a hip and / or knee prosthesis; uncontrolled hypertension or with blood pressure values higher than 180 mmHg in systolic and diastolic blood pressure at 90 mmHg.

| Expected outcome 1: It will be expected that after 8 weeks of intervention with the Pilates method the elderly of the Pilates group (GP) show an improvement in their balance and posture.The balance will be evaluated in the Neurocon Smart Equitest using the sensory organization test, and the postural evaluation will be performed using the computerized photogrammetry with the Postural Evaluation Software (SAPO) in lateral, anterior and posterior views, these will be evaluated before and after 8 weeks of intervention with the Pilates method.;Expected outcome 2: It is expected that after 8 weeks with the intervention with the Pilates method the Pilates Group will show an improvement in the handgrip strength and in the gait speed.The handgrip force will be measured using the Jamar hand grip dynamometer and gait speed with gait speed test of 6 meters,these will be evaluated before and after 8 weeks of intervention with the Pilates method. | — |
