Eligibility

Age
5 Years to 18 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age between 5 and 18 years; both genders; user of the rehabilitation services of the Autism Care Center; sufficient cognitive capacity to perform the method of visualizing flower essences; diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder confirmed by medical report

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Severe intellectual disability; users of flower essences prior to the start of the research

MeasureTime frame
Reduction in scores on the Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist (ATEC) instrument in the dimensions of communication, sociability, cognition and behavior, evaluating changes in the behavioral and social profile of participants after the use of flower essences compared to the placebo group. Reduction in challenging behaviors reported by caregivers, such as irritability, aggression, fear, anxiety, food selectivity and sleep.
