Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants should have at least two years of resistance training experience, in which the biceps curl exercise was part of their training routines. Participants were considered as physically active, i.e., exercised from two to three times per week using light to moderate intensities, before the commencement of the experiment. Participants above 18 years or older
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Participants with upper limb articular and muscular conditions that could affect muscle strength, e.g., tendinitis, bursitis, recent fractures, etc., hypertension or hypotension and or under the effect of drugs such as corticoids, psychotropic, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic, were excluded from the study. In addition, participants with an excessive fear of needles were not included. Aged over 40 years-old
