18 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: People aged 18 years or over, leprosy cases in the Paucibacillary classification in the Tuberculoid and Multibacillary form followed at specialized centers or by the FHS that was found in the sixth month of treatment (for multibacillary cases), due to the possibility of accompanying them in these months and with a disability grade of 0 to 1.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: People who were not found after three attempts to contact the study.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The expected outcome is that the study participants acquire autonomy and knowledge about the disease, this will be measured through the evaluation of self-care with the face, hands and feet.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
That the study participants perform self-care with face, hands and feet proposed by the educational practice, will be measured by the Check List for observation and that they do not progress to grade 2 physical disability, which will be measured through neurological assessment and degree of disability.
