Interventions

They will participate in this study of institutionalized elderly residents of the city of Marília, SP
in a total of 100 elderly, being an intervention group and the control group and composites by elderly people with lack of interest or availability of time to perform an intervention 2 times a week. I

60 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Elderly institutionalized residents of the city of Marília-SP; of both sexes; aged 60 years or older; with functional impairment categories (CDF) greater than or equal to 2; without cognitive deficit in the Mental State Mini Exam according to the years of schooling (BRUCKI et al., 2003)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals who refuse to sign the consent form; with untreated neurological or cardiorespiratory pathologies and / or who limit the ability to walk on the treadmill; with visual or auditory deficits incapacitating to conduct the research; and the elderly who interrupt in any Stages of intervention or evaluation.

MeasureTime frame
Analyze the effects of the treadmill's hiking program for 10 weeks, on the quality of life, through the Whoqol-brefs and the improvement in postural equilibrium and mobility, assessed by clinical trials (test timed up and go;Tinetti equilibrium test; 10 meter walk test and 6 minute walk test). Evaluate before, at 5 weeks, at the end and after 4 weeks of the program.
