Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women from 18 years of age. Invasive or non-invasive breast cancer. Breast cancer surgery (mastectomy, quadrantectomy, lumpectomy), with some axillary procedure: Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy (SLNB) or Axillary Lymph Node Dissection (DLNA). Presence of axillary web syndrome in the evaluation. Voluntary consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Previous surgeries in shoulder, breast ou axilla.Anterior orthopedic or rheumatic shoulder changes, such as frozen shoulder, cuff injury, impact syndrome, arthritis, fractures, and arthritis. Immediate reconstruction.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the presence of cords, shoulder range of motion, pain after physical therapy intervention during follow-up for 3 months after surgery. The cords are checked with the patient supine with the shoulder in abduction, lateral rotation and extension, elbow extension and supination, wrist and finger extension, through visualization and palpation after skin tension. Shoulder range of motion will be assessed by goniometry. Pain is assessed by visual analog scale.

MeasureTime frame
Correlate Axillary Web Syndrome with other adverse effects of breast cancer treatment after at least 2 years of surgery. We will observe if there was a higher incidence of lymphedema and pain through perimetry and visual analog scale.;Correlate Axillary Web Syndrome with cancer recidiva. We will observe whether there has been an increase in the number of recidivas within 5 years in patients with cords verified by statistical analysis, from the finding of a variation of at least 5% in pre and post-intervention measurements.
