This is a quasi-experimental, non-randomized clinical study, with a single-arm before and after design, that is, where the individual is their own control before and after intervention. To obtain the

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Mothers of premature and/or low birth weight newborns hospitalized for more than 24 hours in the neonatal unit. Members of the family and/or social support network will be included, who are primarily responsible for the newborn during hospitalization, whether literate or not

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Mothers with hearing impairments and/or psychiatric illnesses (puerperal dysphoria, panic disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder) that make it impossible to answer the questionnaires; withdrawal from the research after the start of data collection, or non-participation in all stages of the research

The perception of parenting self-efficacy regarding the care of premature newborns will be higher after educational intervention;

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The parental self-efficacy scores of premature newborns will always be higher after receiving an audiovisual educational intervention.
