Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Pain reduction, evaluated using the visual analogic scale of at least 40% on the first and last day of treatment;Improvement in function, as measured by the increase in total score obtained in the Western and Ontario McMaster universities osteoarthitis index (WOMAC) questionnaire in the domains of pain, function and stiffness on the first and last day of treatment; The increase in pressure pain threshold, measured by algometry (kilograms / force) measured on the first and last day of treatment | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The increase in distance walked during the 6-minute walk test (6MWT) measured in meters on the first and last day of treatment; The decrease in the time taken to perform the 40m (4x10m) rapid walk test in seconds measured on the first and last day of treatment; The decrease in the time taken to perform the Stair test in seconds measured on the first and last day of treatment; The increase in the number of times the subject sat on the sit-up and chair lift test in 30 seconds assessed on the first and last day of treatment ;The decrease in the time used to perform the TUG (Timed up and go test) in seconds evaluated on the first and last day of treatment ;The decrease in knee temperature in degrees (º), evaluated by thermographic camera on the first and last day of treatment ;The reduction of Static and Dynamic Balance instability values, evaluated through the Biodex Balance System by the Falls Risk protocol evaluated on the first and last day of treatment | — |
