Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Seniors of both sexes will be included; aged 60 years or older; sedentary or who have not been practicing any physical activity in the last 6 months; making use of three or more antihypertensive agents in adequate doses and combinations

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Elderly people with uncontrolled heart failure will be excluded from the study; parkinson; Alzheimer's; insanity; physical and visual impairment; morbid obesity (BMI>= 40); cancer; unstable angina; musculoskeletal disorders that limit the performance of exercises; or who do not complete at least 90% of the sessions and fail to perform a functional physical fitness test or ambulatory blood pressure at some point

Expected outcome 1: It is expected that there are reductions in ambulatory blood pressure (systolic and diastolic) during wakefulness, sleep and 24-hour average periods and in the strength/resistance of lower and upper limbs, physical mobility, aerobic resistance and flexibility of lower and lower limbs superiors;Outcome found 1: Significant results were found in the reduction of systolic and diastolic ambulatory blood pressure both in the mean 24h (p=0.003; p=0.004), as well as in the awake (p=0.004; p=0.003) and nighttime (p= 0.025; p=0.016) after the 24 sessions of ST in the experimental group when compared with the control group. In addition, better scores were found in the variables: lower (p=0.002) and upper limb strength and resistance (p=0.001), physical mobility (p=0.003) and aerobic resistance (p=0.001) in the EG compared to the CG from pre to post. Not finding statistically significant results in the flexibility of upper (p=0.779) and lower (p=0.196) limbs
