Age
30 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged between 30 and 65 years; both sexes; bariatric surgery performed in 2018 at the Hospital das Clínicas, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo (USP); availability to participate in the sessions and assessments; internet access (for the virtual group)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age under 30 or over 65 years; pregnancy; physical or cognitive impairment preventing participation in the sessions; refusal to participate in the study

Expected outcome: It is expected a reduction in depression and binge eating scale scores in the virtual and face-to-face intervention groups ;Outcome found: All three groups showed reductions in depressive symptoms, anxiety, and binge eating after the intervention, with these improvements maintained at follow-up.

Expected outcome: It is expected reduction in body mass among participants in the virtual and in-person intervention groups;Outcome found: A marginal reduction in body mass and abdominal circumference was also noted across groups
