Age
18 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Volunteers with active wrist movements; spasticity grades 1 to 3 in the flexor muscles of wrist and fingers 2nd Modified Ashworth Scale; medical indication for physiotherapeutic care; injury for more than 6 months; adequate comprehension skills and communication skills.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Volunteers who present with allergic processes to functional elastic bandage; degrees 0 or 4 of spasticity according to the Modified Ashworth Scale; Wernicke's aphasia; other associated neurological pathologies; history of lesions that preclude joint movements on the side of the paresis.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Range of wrist movement determined by goniometry at the beginning of the study and at the end of the study, from a variation of at least 10 degrees in the pre and post intervention measurements.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Range of wrist movement determined by goniometry. Data collected before the intervention and one month after the intervention, from a variation of at least 10 degrees in the pre and post intervention measurements.
