Age
17 Years to 19 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Overweight adolescents, with a body mass index (BMI) equivalent to percentiles between 85 and 97 or between +1 and +2 z score (overweight); percentiles between 97 and 99.9 or +2 and +3 z score (obesity) and percentile above 99.9 or +3 z score (severe obesity); age between 17 and 19 years

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Adolescents with a history of allergy to babassu or cashew nuts and/or any component that will be used in the formulation of the cookies; and those who have started some nutritional intervention to reduce excess weight

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
An improvement in the glycemic and lipid profile (5-10% reduction in glycemia and lipidemia) is expected in the data collected after the intervention, compared to pre-intervention indices

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
An improvement in glycemic, lipid and oxidative profiles is expected, verified through pre- and post-intervention blood collections
