Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: No pain or dysfunction in trunk and lower extremities Full active range of motion of hip, knee and ankle Absence of fracture or previous surgery in the spine and lower extremities Considered insufficiently active for IPAQ
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Pain in the lower extremities or trunk; Restriction in range of motion of hip, knee and ankle; History of trauma or previous surgery in lower extremities or spine; History of quadriceps femoris muscle injury; Subluxation of hip joint; Osteoarthritis in hip and knee; Rheumatic e, degenerative or neurological diseas; Diabetes mellitus and fibromyalgia; Subjects with uncontrolled hypertension.

| Increasing of muscle strength of quadriceps femoris muscle in the active and placebo groups, measured through 1- maximum repetition, before the study and after the study. The hypothesis is that active group will show greater values of 1-Maximum repetition after the study when compared to placebo and control group. ;Maintenance of muscle strength of quadriceps femoris muscle in control group, measured through 1- maximum repetition, before the study and after the study. The hypothesis is that control group will show lower values of 1-Maximum repetition after the study when compared to active and placebo group.;Evaluation of load progression values of quadriceps femoris muscle, medida through 1- maximum repetition after 2, 4, and 6 weeks of quadriceps femoris resistance training in active and placebo group. The hypothesis is that active group will show greater values of load progression when compared to placebo group;Measurement of blood lactate decreasing, througth ear blood sample, before the study, 24 hours after the study and 48 hours after the study. The hypothesis is that active group will show greater decreasing of lactate when compared to placebo and control group, and that placebo group will show greater decreasing of lactate when compared to control group.;Measurement of as interleukin 6, interleukin 8, creatine kinase, tumor necrosis factor and lactate dehydrogenase inflammatory markers done through sample blood colection, before the study, 24 hours after the study and 48 hours after the study. The hypothesis is that alterations among groups will be observed.;Analysis of rate of force development of rectus femoris, vastus medialis e vastus lateralis, calculated through the derivate of force peak by the minimum time necessary to reach the peak force before the study and at calculated before and after quadriceps femoris resistance training.
