Interventions

This is a randomized controlled clinical trial, with medicated hypertensive patients of both sexes and aged over 18 years. Subjects will be randomized into two groups: HIT (n = 31) and Control (n = 31

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Both sexes, over 18 years old;diagnosis of Hypertension limited to stage II; not have high cardiovascular risk; not participating in a physical exercise program for at least six months prior to the start of the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Adherence less than 85% of training sessions; diagnosis of other cardiovascular diseases or diabetes during the course of the study; adherence to another supervised exercise program during the study; change in medication class and/or dose during the study; disease worsening (Stage III SAH, =180 and =110 mmHg, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, respectively)

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find a decrease in blood pressure variability after a period of twenty-four weeks of training, verified through ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), from the observation of a variation of at least 5% in pre and post-intervention.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate cardiac autonomic modulation after a period of twenty-four weeks of training, verified through the technique of heart rate variability, from the observation of a variation of at least 5% in pre- and post-intervention measurements.
