Age
8 Years to 14 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Experimental Group 1: volunteers of both genders; aged between 8 and 14 years; who have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder; with medical clearance for the practice of the intervention. Experimental Group 2: volunteers of both genders; aged between 8 and 14 years; do not have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and/or any disease; with medical clearance for the practice of the intervention.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Volunteers under the age of 8 and over 15 will be excluded; cognitive difficulty regarding the assessment and intervention instruments; infectious diseases; incapacitating diseases of the upper and lower limbs; patients with myopathies; diseases with recognized collagen alteration; people with neurological diseases; for personal reasons do not want to participate.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that the intervention promotes an increase in muscle strength levels through the handgrip dynamometer in the moments before and after the exergaming performance.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that the intervention promotes a reduction in the asymmetry of the center of mass distribution values assessed through the Wii Balance Board platform of the Nintendo Wii, in the moments before and after the exergaming.;It is expected that the intervention promotes an increase in physical fitness through the distance walked evaluated in the six-minute walk test, in the moments before and after the exergaming performance.
