Physiological adaptation

Interventions

This is a randomized, two-arm clinical study in trained and untrained subjects. The study will consist of 72 subjects, subdivided into 12 subjects per group. Subjects from the 6 subgroups: trained wit
trained with 40% blood flow restriction (TRFS40%)
strength training with low load (TFBC)
untrained with 60% blood flow restriction (DRFS60%)
untrained with 40% blood flow restriction (DRFS40%)

Age
18 Years to 30 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: For Group 1 (G1): both sexes; be between 18 and 30 years old; have no history of cardiorespiratory diseases; ankle-brachial index between 0.91 and 1.30; answer negatively to all items of the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire; be classified as unsatisfactory in the International Physical Activity Questionnaire; in the 1-repetition maximum test, present a relative value < 1.2; have no musculoskeletal injuries that hinder the performance of elbow flexion and knee extension exercises. For Group 2 (G2): be between 18 and 30 years old; have no history of cardiorespiratory diseases; ankle-brachial index between 0.91 and 1.30; answer negatively to all items of the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire; be classified as physically active in the International Physical Activity Questionnaire; in the 1-repetition maximum test, present a relative value = 1.2; have no musculoskeletal injuries that hinder the performance of elbow flexion and knee extension exercises.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Subjects who experience any injury during the experiment that prevents them from continuing the study; who drop out of the study; or who do not attend training sessions regularly will be excluded from the study

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that trained and untrained individuals will show differences in hemodynamic and strength prescription parameters, and in body composition through strength training associated with blood flow restriction. This will be achieved using a body composition assessment method employing dual-spectrum X-ray absorptiometry, ultrasound, and strength and hemodynamic measurements, based on the observation of a variation of at least 5% in pre- and post-intervention medications
