Premature newborn

Interventions

The sample will consist of 36 preterm infants considering the sample calculation performed based on the study by Lan et al., 2018, using the variable frequency of wakefulness episodes, with a study po
- assessment of movements using the Prechltz Method
- pain assessment by the pain assessment scale (NIPS) ). Regarding the variables, they were collected at the beginning of the applic

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Premature newborns who present weight of birth greater than 1500 grams; with APGAR = 5 in the fifth minute; no evidence of perinatal asphyxia or neurological disease; absence of maternal drugs and antiepileptics drugs or antidepressants during the last month of pregnancy; absence of child use of a drug antiepileptic or analgesic in the last 24 hours; no malformations; clinically stable; in room air

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Need treatment with theophylline, sedatives, muscle relaxants or analgesic medications; return for respiratory support or oxygen therapy; discharge before the evaluation of the second method

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that at the end of the study the methods will be efficient in reducing stress, which will be analyzed through the pain assessment scale (NIPS) and the monitoring of cardiorespiratory parameters (heart rate, blood pressure and peripheral oxygen saturation) that will be monitored through the visualization of the vital signs monitor.;Evaluate the improvement of sleep quality through actigraphy.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Better results in the neurodevelopment of premature newborns are expected. The evaluation will be carried out through the evaluation of generalized movements (Prechltz Method).
