Age
18 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults: age between 18 and 59 years; both sexes; physically active (more than 150 minutes per week of physical activity). Older adults: age equal to or greater than 60 years; both sexes; eutrophic (body mass index between 22 and 27 kg/m²); physically active (more than 150 minutes per week of physical activity)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Adults: decompensated cardiovascular diseases; uncontrolled diabetes; pulmonary disease; smoking; urinary infection; pregnancy; lactation; use of medications that interfere with amino acid metabolism or nitric oxide production; use of antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs; use of nutritional supplements, multivitamins, or pharmacological agents. Older adults: diagnosis of severe decompensated cardiovascular disease; uncontrolled diabetes; pulmonary disease; smoking; urinary infection; use of medications that interfere with amino acid metabolism or nitric oxide production; use of antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs; use of nutritional supplements or pharmacological agents

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that after long-term nutritional monitoring, biochemical and hemodynamic parameters will significantly improve compared to the control group; and that the intervention group will show a more pronounced improvement in vascular health parameters, such as improved macro and microvascular endothelial function of volunteers through the flow-mediated dilation technique of arteries and arterial stiffness; improved parameters of muscle performance and quality, through isokinetic dynamometry and ultrasound; increased angiogenesis, plasma nitrate and nitrite, and improved body composition.

It is expected that long-term nutritional monitoring will significantly improve body composition changes.
