Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Individuals over 18 years of age; both sexes; with at least 12 teeth; with generalized chronic periodontitis; teeth affected by periodontitis in the four quadrants.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Individuals submitted to periodontal treatment or submitted to antibiotic therapy in the last 3 months; smoking; pregnant and lactating women; use anticoagulant medication; (HIV) positive; and that present systemic conditions as a risk factor for periodontitis or have contraindication to the periodontal clinical examination.
