18 Years to 59 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The inclusion criteria for participation in the study are: being an adult aged between 18 and 59 years; having behavioral dysphonia without lesions; diagnosis confirmed by an otorhinolaryngologist; participants will be required to provide a medical report issued by the otorhinolaryngologist

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria are: volunteers with pacemakers; metallic implants in the head or cervical region; use of neuroactive medication; history of seizures; individuals undergoing speech therapy during the data collection period; and individuals with dysphonia of neurological etiology or caused by recurrent laryngopharyngeal reflux

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
An improvement in the overall grade of dysphonia is expected, as assessed through perceptual-auditory analysis.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement in the Dysphonia Acoustic Index (DAI) and Cepstral Peak Prominence Smoothed (CPPS/CPP), as assessed through acoustic analysis, as well as a reduction in self-perceived vocal effort measured by the adapted Borg CR-10-BR scale.
