Interventions

This is an epidemiological study and a randomized double-blind clinical trial (with blinding of participants and outcome assessors) involving 323 schoolchildren aged 8 to 14 years from the Brazilian A
pulp vitality through thermal and percussion tests
dentin neoformation using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT)
restoration quality regarding marginal integrity, discoloration, surface texture, and anatomical form
and OHRQoL after the interventions. 3. Laboratory Phase: The pH and fluoride concentration of the water consumed in the school environment will be analyzed. Data from all phases of the study will be s

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Differences in the mean values of postoperative sensitivity, assessed using a visual analogue pain scale of at least 20 units, are expected when comparing the pre- and post-intervention periods

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Difference in the mean values ??in millimeters formed by the dentinal barrier, evaluated by means of measurement in interproximal radiographs taken at the beginning and after 3 and 6 months of the intervention
