Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Labouring women with single fetus in vertex position and with good vitality; gestational age from 37 and 42 weeks; spontaneous onset of labor; cervical dilation from 3 to 5 cm; present at least two contractions in 10 minutes interval.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Hospitalization for cesarean sections; preeclampsia; diabetes I, II or gestational; heart disease; hypertension; kidney disease; epilepsy; psychiatric disorders; drug users; previous uterine scar; fetal death; fetal malformation; dermatitis or any infection in the banding application site; known allergy to the material of the bandage.

| Need for anesthetics and uterotonics evaluated by medical staff records during labor, and compared between groups. Length of the first period of labor, recorded by minutes spent between admission to the study and the full cervical dilatation record. Duration of the second period of labor, recorded by minutes spent between total cervical dilation registration and birth registration, and compared between groups. Delivery type, rated by registering on the partograph, and compared between groups. Vitality of newborns, evaluated by the Apgar score at the first and fifth minute, and compared between groups. Satisfaction with the use of elastic and adhesive bandage, evaluated by means of questions to the participants within 48 hours of birth, and compared between groups. | — |
