Eligibility

Age
No minimum to 18 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children; adolescents; both genders; age between 0 and under 18 years; admitted to the pediatric ward; diagnosed with pneumonia

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Diagnosis of chronic respiratory diseases; diagnosis of respiratory failure; need for ventilatory support; need for transfer to Intensive Care Unity

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find improvement in lung aeration, evaluated through Electrical Impedance Tomography, based on the variation between pre- and post-intervention measurements

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to observe an improvement in lung function through spirometry in the intervention group, based on the variation between pre- and post-intervention measurements
