Design outcomes

We expect a reduction in depression level on the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAM-D) from moderate (score 17 to 24) to mild (below 16) or normal (below 8) between pre-test and post-test. ;The Behavioral Activation Depression Scale – Short Form (BADS-SF) will measure behaviors each week from baseline until one week after the last intervention session; a gradual increase in the 7-point Likert scale is expected after the start of the intervention, reflecting an increase in active behaviors and a reduction in avoidance behaviors of participants.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
We expect a reduction in the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21) in pre- and post-intervention measurements.;We expect an increase in the World Health Organization's brief assessment of quality of life (WHOQOL-bref) in pre- and post-intervention measurements.
