Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 1: To evaluate the response of different forms of flaxseed on blood glucose in people with type 2 diabetes;Outcome found 1: Although they were not significant differences were observed between the breads (p=0.91), the glycemic response was 26% lower after consumption of bread with whole linseed and 15% less in bread with ground linseed in comparison to control bread

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 2: To analyze which flaxseed product (whole or ground) has a better response in blood glucose in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.;Outcome found 2:Whole flaxseed demonstrated a tendency towards better glycemic control compared to ground flaxseed in the glycemia of people with Type 2 Diabetes
