Dental bleaching

Interventions

All participants (n=15) will use all toothpastes evaluated, characterizing a cross-over study. Fifteen participants with good general health will use two intraoral devices during the research period.

Age
20 Years to 35 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals with good general health; aged between 20 and 35 years; without pathologies in the soft and hard oral tissues; not using any type of dental prosthesis or orthodontic appliance; not under medical or dental treatment; who are not participating in no other study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals who use removable prostheses; individuals with altered salivary flow; individuals with decayed teeth or with periodontal disease; individuals with digestive disorders

MeasureTime frame
No significant changes (p greater than 0.05) in the color of bovine dental enamel after evaluation of the fragments removed from the device through Easyshade (VITA®, Bad Säckingen, Germany) and use of the CIE L*a*b* system (Commission Internationale de l'Éclairage). The results obtained will be evaluated according to the normality of the values found and the most appropriate statistical test

MeasureTime frame
Lack of significant changes (p greater than 0.05) in Knoop microhardness of bovine dental enamel after evaluation of the fragments removed from the device through the Micro Hardness Tester HMV-2 (Shimadzu®, Tokyo, Japan). The results obtained will be evaluated according to the normality of the values found and the most appropriate statistical test;No significant changes (p greater than 0.05) in the surface roughness of bovine dental enamel after evaluation of the fragments removed from the device through the Surftest SJ-201P (Mitutoyo®, Kanagawa, Japan). The results obtained will be evaluated according to the normality of the values found and the most appropriate statistical test;No significant changes (p greater than 0.05) in the brightness of bovine dental enamel after evaluation of the fragments removed from the device through the Micro-Gloss 45 ° gloss meter (BYK Gardner, Gerestried, Germany).
