Age
18 Years to 69 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged at least 18 years old; have mild or moderate depression, expressed as a score of at least 9 to 20 on the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), without suicide risk evaluated by the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5 (SCID-5); have Internet at home and a computer or any electronic device connected to the Internet in order to access the free platform of Google meet; filled out the mandatory inform consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Having hypothyroidism due to being a cause of organic depression related to hormone levels; having suicide risk evaluated by the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-5 (SCID-5); having severe depression (score < 20 or more on the PHQ-9); having a medical disorder that would interfere to participating; having substance abuse (alcohol and others drugs), psychosis, anxiety or panic disorder out of context of depression, personality disorders (obsessive-compulsive and borderline disorder); bipolar disorder; be under psychological treatment by the time of the recruiting.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The main result of this trial is either reduction or remission of depression levels evaluated by PHQ-9, with better results in the experimental group compared to the control group.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
We expected the decrease of rumination levels measured by the Analytical Rumination Questionnaire (ARQ), with better results in the experimental group compared to the control group. ;We expected the improvement of quality of life evaluated by WHOQOL-BREF, with better results in the experimental group compared to the control group. ;We expected the improvement of Social Adjustment evaluated by the Social Adjustment Scale (SAS), with better results in the experimental group compared to the control group.
