Eligibility

Age
18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: unirradicular tooth with periapical lesion 2 years; healthy patients

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with fractured teeth; perforation; root resorption; pregnant women and have received antimicrobial treatment in the last 6 months

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
With this trial we expect investigate complementary alternatives to the disinfection of root canals, with the laser high power diode 980 nm, during the retreatment of teeth with secondary endodontic infections The samples collected, in the different periods, will be submitted to the microbiological processing in MM10 SB agar (total counting) and Enterococcus Selective Agar Plates (E. faecalis) ;Through the results obtained, it may be conclude that 980 nm diode laser irradiation during retreatment had antimicrobial effect on root canals, however, not superior than conventional biomechanical preparation

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
We expect that diode laser irradiatin will improve the periapical bone repair of endodonic retreatment teeth The periapical bone repair will be radiographically analyzed by 3 examiners (Kappa > 0.8) for the periods: initial, 3 and 6 months ;Diode laser favored bone repair at 6 months after retreatment
