Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients on the first postoperative day of cardiac surgery; Age from 18 years; Both sexes; Hemodynamic stability.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Refusal of the participant due to pain during training; Paralysis or facial trauma that prevents the adaptation of the buccal; Deficit in understanding the commands needed to perform the tests; Intubated or tracheostomized patients; Altered or lowered level of consciousness (with oscillations according to the Glasgow Coma Scale (ECG), between 8 and 12); Under 18 years old.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that the participants in the TCA group will show improvement in all training variables and that at the end of the sessions, the change in the temporary strength status will be equivalent to the normal values. In addition, the aim is to facilitate training with advancing sessions, regardless of the group.
