Group 1-Phototherapy:Patients will be instructed to expose themselves to sunlight (with sunscreen lotion use) for 40 minutes in the first part of the morning.Group 2-Measures of Sleep Hygiene: Patient
phase-2,4 weeks after phase 1
phase-3, eight weeks after phase 1 and phase 4,twelve weeks after phase 1.

Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 90 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Heart failure functional class I, II or III; have an active telephone contact; Do no pharmacological / non-pharmacological treatment for sleep improvement.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Cognitive impairment; total score in the Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) < or equal to 5.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Mean difference in sleep quality score of at least 4 units compared to baseline verified by PSQI (Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Change the category of poor quality of life to good quality of life, verified by MLHFQ (Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnare).
