Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients admitted to the Emergency Room of the Hospital das Clínicas, Federal University of Goiás; both sexes; age from 18 years; without distinction of race, marital status, socioeconomic status and time of illness.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who do not consent to participate in the research; patient who do not present their mental faculties preserved, according to the results presented in the Mine Mental State Examination.

To evaluate the effectiveness and psychometric properties of the Psychosocial Distress Screening Tool (STOP-D) for the context of the Proto-Relief. To evaluate, the following instruments will be applied: Mine mental status examination (MMSE), Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HAD) and the Psychosocial Distress Screening Tool (STOP-D).
