Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Undergraduate; students of Biological Sciences Sector courses of the Federal University of Parana; female; over the age of eighteen; who have active sex life; that has not pregnant; without distinction of race; without distinction of sexual orientation; without distinction of class social.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women in pregnancy; sexual abstinence in the past six months; suffering from neuromuscular diseases; which do not show integrity to the pelvic floor sensitivity test or had a surgical procedure in abdominal/pelvic or musculoskeletal surgery region in the lower limbs at least six months; women who are making use of psychiatric drugs for example antidepressants and anxiolytics.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
We expected to find moderate statistical correlation (greater than 0.30), suggesting that women with lower levels of sexual function are associated with worse functionality of the abdominal and pelvic muscles.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
We expected to find moderate statistical correlation (greater than 0.30), suggesting that women with lower levels of sexual function are associated with physical inactivity, depression and lower quality of life.
