Age
40 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Totally edentulous in the upper and lower arches; age between 40 and 70 years; good general health; having alveolar ridges classified as horizontal or distal ascending in the mesio-distal direction; and normal in the buccolingual direction, with mandibular-symphysis bone height grater than 16 mm

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of clinically detected parafunctional habits; history of symptoms in the temporomandibular joints and masticatory muscles; have osteoporosis; having Type I and II Diabetes Mellitus; to be a smoker; apparent xerostomia; patients with uncontrolled systemic diseases; individuals who underwent radiotherapy in the head and neck

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected with this study to find the technique of assembling posterior teeth, in complete dentures, which presents better masticatory function.

With the results obtained in this study and in future studies, we hope that the techniques for making complete dentures are based on consolidated scientific foundations, respecting the principles of dental occlusion so that patients can enjoy a better quality of life, nutritional aspect, aesthetics and function. that this treatment can offer.
