Age
18 Years to 59 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy adults aged 18 to 59 years; regularly enrolled as university students; with no diagnosis of chronic diseases; no continuous use of medications or any ergogenic aid; and no injuries or conditions that would prevent prolonged sitting or walking

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Failure to complete any stage of the study; including screening, baseline assessments; or any of the experimental sessions

Primary

MeasureTime frame
A reduction in blood pressure is expected in both conditions that interrupt sitting time, compared to the control group. In addition, a greater reduction in blood pressure is anticipated in the moderate-intensity interruption group

A maintenance or increase in muscle activity is expected in both conditions that interrupt sitting time, compared to the control group. Likewise, a maintenance or increase in muscle activity is anticipated in the moderate-intensity interruption group;A maintenance or increase in heart rate is expected in both conditions that interrupt sitting time, compared to the control group. Likewise, a greater maintenance or increase in heart rate is anticipated in the moderate-intensity interruption group;An increase in heart rate variability is expected in both conditions that interrupt sitting time, compared to the control group.
