Interventions

This is a randomized controlled clinical trial carried out with pregnant women in a basic health unit. The sample will be divided into four groups: Control (CG), Counseling (CG), Walking (WAL) and Fun
Counseling Group (GA=15): Counseling for 150 minutes of physical activity per week

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pregnant women registered at the basic unit and undergoing prenatal care; have completed 12 weeks of pregnancy; are aged 18 or over; live in the municipality of Jataí-GO

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Pregnant women with clinical comorbidities (hypertension and diabetes); multiple pregnancies; pregnant women with intellectual disabilities identified by a health professional, reported by a companion, or perceived when answering the study instruments; having self-reported or perceived motor limitations that do not allow them to perform motor and functional tests and physical exercises

Outcome 1: after 8 weeks, all intervention protocols resulted in a reduction in LDL cholesterol levels to 110 mg/dL or below, an increase in HDL cholesterol to 40 mg/dL or above, and a reduction in blood glucose to 99 mg/dL or below, all on a fasting basis.;Expected outcome 1: Did the different exercise protocols (walking and functional) and counseling result in a reduction in blood glucose levels, LDL cholesterol, increases in HDL levels, and reductions in fasting blood glucose after 8 weeks of intervention

Outcome 2: walking and functional exercises resulted in a reduction in capillary glycemia = 100 mg/dL and maintenance of blood pressure values = 120 mmhg for systolic pressure and = 80 mmhg for diastolic pressure;Expected outcome 2: Did walking and functional exercises result in significant reductions in capillary glycemia and blood pressure after 8 weeks of intervention
