Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Seniors were over the age of 60 and had reported fall incidents in the last 6 months

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria involved individuals who were conducting other types of treatment that could interfere in the sample, such as osteopathic manipulative techniques; conventional physiotherapeutic treatments; recent fractures; neurological diseases; fecal or urinary incontinence; arthritis in the hips or limiting knees; severe aphasia

To evaluate the influence of physiotherapy treatment in elderly at risk of falling through comparing the difference in values in the following functional tests describes in the literature: Timed up and go test, 30 seconds Sit to Stand Test, Functional Reach Test - Timed Up and Go Test 10 seconds: Normal 10 to 20 seconds: Low risk of falling Greater than 30 seconds: High risk of falling and dependent on transfers - Functional Reach Test Less than 18.5cm indicates fall risk - 30 seconds Sit to Stand Test According to the average age of 65 years, patient needs to perform more than 12 repetitions ;This study evidence the effectiveness of the Physical therapy treatment in the reduction of the risk of fall of the participants. Based on the improvement of the functional tests and of the correlation of the values of prediction of fall of each used test that ;To compare treatment in aquatic versus conventional comparing the difference in values in the initial moment and after intervention protocol through intra and intergroup analysis, according to functional tests Timed up and go test, 30 seconds Sit to Stand Test and Functional Reach Test;Comparing the groups, we can observe a higher mean and difference in aquatic physiotherapy;It is expected to find a reduction in the process of limitation or functional incapacity caused by the lack of balance / risk of fall by improving the vakues of the functional tests used.

Improved participants ability to shift their center of gravity anteroposteriorly and to remain within the support base through improving functional range test values;Increased ability to sit and stand, indicating increased muscular endurance, by improving functional range test values;Improve walking and dynamic balance by reducing time on the Timed Up and Go Test in the aquatic physiotherapy group
