There will be two groups: Exercise group, consisting of non-dialysis stages 4 and 5 chronic kidney disease patients. This will be subdivided into strength exercise group (SEG) and resistance exercise

Eligibility

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Stages 4 and 5 non-dialysis chronic kidney disease patients; between 18 and 60 years old; from both sexes; using no medication that alters the autonomic nervous system

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients in the following conditions will be excluded from this study those who participated in an intervention program less than three months ago; or presenting unstable arterial hypertension with diagnosed by a physician; amyloidosis; congestive heart failure; acute infarction; myocardial infarction (up to three months); unstable angina; osteoarticular abnormalities that make it impossible for them to execute the exercise protocols; peacemaker users and those who underwent heart transplantation

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Heart rate variability through time domain analysis parameters: SDNN, rMSSD and PNN50, and frequency domain analysis: AF, BF and BF / AF measured by Holter.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Maximum heart rate and maximal oxygen consumption measured by ergometric stress testing;walk distance in meters by the 6-minute walking test;lower limb muscles strength measured by Sit-to-Stand;the thickness of the quadriceps muscle measured by ultrasound;handgrip strength measured by dinamometer;quality of life measured by the Medical Outcomes Study Short-Form 36 (SF36)
