Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| It is expected that strength exercise performed at self-selected intensity presents gains in muscle strength and functionality in the self-selected group, determined through 1RM (one repetition max), TUG (timed up and go), sit-and-stand, and isometric strength tests at the beginning and end of the study | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| It is expected that the self-selected group will perceive the exercise with more pleasure (ie, greater affection) and less subjective perception of effort. Both variables (pleasure/displeasure and perceived exertion) will be measured using the Feeling Scale and PSE (subjective perception of effort) scales | — |
